MRead Limited is a public unlisted Australian company formed to further develop and commercialise Australia’s Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation’s (CSIRO) innovative Magnetic Resonance (MR) Technology.
MRead has world-leading, patented MR technology for the detection of drugs and explosives.
The MR technology has the potential to dramatically improve explosive and drug detection capabilities for humanitarian mine clearance, military, airport security, and other security and law enforcement applications.
MRead is initially targeting the development of MR based sensors for detecting lowmetal anti-personnel and anti-vehicle landmines, with rapid detection and superior accuracy expected to significantly speed up mine clearance.
MRead is partnered with The HALO Trust in the development and demonstration of the technology, and supported by Minelab.
Our technology has addressed the technical challenges of noise suppression, temperature dependence and lengthy measurement times that have inhibited prior generations of MR detection.
