COMPANY OVERVIEW

Nichol Industries was established in 1958 by brothers Barry & Trevor Nichol.

Nichol has a long standing relationship with the Australian Defence Force and the Australian defence industry. This began in 1972 with the acquisition of an existing defence supplier.

Today we have long term contracts in significant areas of Defence.

Our industry support is in providing identification and traceability to defence contractors in the form of laser and dot peen marking systems.

Companies such as Boeing, BAE and SpaceX use our machines to mark their equipment and products.

We have a good understanding of the regulations in this area.

PRODUCTS

Metal Stamping Machines

Metal stamping machines are ideal for applications where a fast marking of standard information is required.
The machine creates the force needed for stamping, punching and staking by utilising a unique impact mechanism which clamps the product before building up internal pressure and “firing” into it (compress and release of spring-loaded energy section).

Dot Peen Engraving Machines

Dot peen marking machines give manufacturers the ability to quickly and consistently place superior quality marks on their products. These marks are used as product identification and differentiation.
Examples include engravings such as logos, text, numbers, drawings and QR codes.

Laser engraving machines

Laser marking machines, also known as laser etching machines, are a quick, effective and safe way to leave permanent markings on a variety of material.
The marking is placed using a beam of concentrated light on the surface of the material.
Marks include text, numbers, logo’s, patterns, bar codes, 2D codes QR codes and datamatrix codes.
